Therapy for people struggling with anxiety and OCD
As someone with anxiety or OCD…
You probably feel tired of:
The intrusive thoughts
The endless overthinking and analyzing
The never-ending “what if” scenarios that pop into your brain and cause distress
You may be frustrated by your inability to let things go or feel like a bad person because of your thoughts. You also may have noticed that your anxiety or OCD is worse during big life transitions or times of stress.
Therapy can help you understand yourself better, and learn new ways to break your old patterns. I will teach you new skills and techniques, and also help you identify your triggers and explore the deeper meaning behind your distress.
I use ERP (Exposure and Response Prevention) and I-CBT (Inference Based CBT) in my treatment of anxiety OCD, but I also bring in relational, and attachment based approaches. The biggest predictor of success in therapy is your relationship with your therapist, so it’s important that you feel comfortable with me. In our work together, I aim to create a safe and supportive environment so you can begin to experiment with living in a new way.
